Augmented Vocality Concerts in October & November

 

Break No More my Heart Today (soprano, baritone, ensemble and live electronics) was performed by Elizabeth Hilliard (soprano), Rory Musgrave (baritone) and Hard Rain SolositEnsemble in Belfast on Friday the 28th of October 2022.

 

The Waking of Angantyr (countertenor, ensemble and live electronics) and Bright Land of Wave's Flame (countertenor, double bass and live electronics) were performed by BCMG on Sunday the 6th of November 2022.

Living Songs: Songs of Love and Exile

 

A short work for voice and piano, commissioned by York Late Music for Jessica Summers (soprano) and Jelena Makarova (piano) was performed at St Mary's church, Aylesbury, at 12.45 on Thursday the 23rd of June, 2022.

My piece, there Is A Blue-Green Eye uses an Old Irish text. In my piece, vocal resonances were explored using software developed by Dr Joe Wright Click for our Augmented Vocality project.

CD Release

 

Diphonon Duo (Michael Iskas – viola and Iñigo Mikeleiz Berrade – accordion) have released a CD, 'Emerging Voices'. The CD features new works for viola and accordion, including my Royal Philharmonic Society / Wigmore Hall commission from 2018, The Wave-Bright Well.  CDs are available to order via their website.
